Now I know they're the greatest performers and all, but I think all this "you must have BH-5 everything else is useless" is gone a little too far. Maybe I can speak about this easier because I have a couple of BH-5 stick already laying around, but it dawned to me today. I bought 2x512mb pc3200 twinmos ch-5 sticks for about 110 euros, which is 40 euros less than I paid for my 2x256mb hyperx 3200 bh-5. I think almost anyone would be better of the buy the former since the perform within 1% (guesstimate) of the latter, and they're twice as much. I just see people going crazy nowadays and paying the most ludicrous prices just to get bh-5. IMO it's just not woth it.

in your opinion spending 750 dollars on a cpu 3 grand on cooling and 500 dollars on a graphics card just wouldnt be worth it either now would it? it especially wouldnt be worth it to vmod aforesaid items and risk torching them would it?

I bought quite a few of kingston bh-5s before the price hike i knew was coming. 10 sticks plus what i already have. Better than any savings or stock account.

Cant wait till it's all gone online. Every one seems to be jumping on the bh wagon now.

no way would i pay the high price now.

That's not what I'm trying to say. Paying premium to get something premium (like 750 dollars for a fx-51) is fine by me, personally I don't like spending that amount a proc. What I'm trying to say is that to me prices for BH-5 are way too high for what you're getting, IE overhyped by it's users (us) .

I suppose we go with what's proven by others to work and perform, which gives us a better chance of having it work and perform for us rather than be the guinea pig.

How much of yours did you say you wish to sell? And you'll sell at a discount as it's used right?

... :stick: ;)

The Bh-5 make me wonder too. First I buy some pc3200
TwinMOS with Bh-5's ... then a couple months later when
the pc3200 drops in price, and pc3200 changes over to the Ch-5,
the Bh-5's are now being sold for more money in pc3700 modules.

I paid 300 for my mushkin only after I called them and talked to the tech support did I deside that the lifetime warrenty was real
and well worth the price.
I have had geil, corsair, and kingston
geil never answered my emails conserning warrenty claim
corsair took forever
kingston was good too
