I killed a 17" crapscreen by running it at 100hz when it was only rated to 60... not intentionally I just set it up wrong... lasted a bout a month before it died. Wasnt mine was a friends, luckily it was under warranty.

lol... i have been running this crap compaq 1280 * something.... i can never remeber resolutions, but anyway... i ran it at 200hz for a while, didnt see any difference with 85hz so i went back to that. its rated for 65

it died after over a year though, and im not sure if it actually died because of the higher refresh-rate. it was a super cheap no-name monitor and was already 3 years old...

The one I killed was a supercheapocrappybrand one, so its death wasnt a great supprise.

i need this compaq to die! my parents wont let me get a new monitor.... hmm... maybe chop out the fuse and play with the flyback transformer haha
