:toast: Hi
building a new machine with my friend
Ive done a raid setup once on a promise controller
Ive read the manuals epox 4pca3+ http://www.epox.nl/english/products/motherboard/4pca3.htm

with highpoint 4 channel pata raid
http://www.highpoint-tech.com/USA/user_manual.htm

what setting do i put the sata/raidand other ide ports on so the hpt reads my drives o.k.
im using the hpt on 2xplus9 8mb /set as cable select?
put cdrom as slave primary or secondary?
No sata /lan /midi/game/ audio =disable? usb1 devices only/ so disable usb2?

to setup raid 0 i go into pata raid bios ctrl-h then choose create array
choose stripe size
then choose drives

then wipes drives [do i format from floppy after]or does the bios format fat32?

then name array
??then set boot drive array
Then set udma mode ie ata 133
Correct?

for the cpu
disable hyperthreading o/s no support
leave intel settings auto?
Burn in
Set ram timing
Is this right HeLp
