I had to draw these up for someone quickly, so I thought I'd share them with you. Non-europeans might want to exchange part numbers for more common ones in their country.


Adjustable heat load. It's adjustable from 0 to about 180W heat output. Not ultimately stable, but stable within 5% shouldn't be a problem. Easy to build was the criteria here.

Fan controller. Very similar to the one I use to control condenser fan speed. Component choice is not critical; any opamp will do as long as it hits close to the supply rails. The same is true for the output transistor; anything able to supply the fan current is OK.

The BD679 transistor is able to supply about 6 amps to the fans.

What cad program do you use?

C1 in the first drawing, what size?
is that .0022uF

This is a very old version of OrCAD.
C1 is 0.22 uF
