I got seven of them.... You will need to change the oil, if a compressor with polyolester is left open the oil will be bad, it will absorb water... running it will damage the compressor..They said they were new/removed/neverbeen in service, hermatically sealed.None of these things were true.. Mine look they were taken from flood damaged equipment... and they were removed and treated badly. In shipping they were packed badly and got further damaged...here is how the seven I bought came in...

yea my box came exactly like the one in the lower right corner. ouch huh? so do any of yours work? my sticker does look kinds wilted, like it was wet. mine was shipped horribly too, with just a bunch of broken styrofoam pieces around. do yours work though?

the ones I tried work but i put a damaged claim in for them. Exploreappliances removes them from equipment and ships them that way. They claim I am going to recieve new ones??? bet they are just as bad..

Un-fortunatly EBAY the company is working with me I insured them and fed ex must have known you don't have oil seeping from the boxes and not know...

Those packages does not look nice. Do you know if it's the delivery companys or the sellers fault?

Well in my case id say its a combo of both. The box being smashed up was probably carriers fault, but the inside was packed horribly. Just a bunch of bits of styrofoam everywhere . comprsesor banged around alot

The packaging was horriable bits of styro and nothing else, One even came in a plastic bag so they must have known the crap they were shipping. The following is from ebay under description,, a few of the compressors were even rusted.. They are all going back... Hermetically sealed refrigerator compressors for refrigerators up to 20 cubic feet, 115V/60Hz, type 134A gas, 1Phase/9Amps, includes starter/relay. These are factory seconds in new working condition & have never been in the field. Approx dimensions are, 7" height x 5.5" width x 8" length,Model # EMI60HER

These compressors were advertized as hermatically sealed and factory seconds in new working condition. These were storm damaged goods shipped in inappropriate containers and inmproperly sealed.
