IT7 Max not posting

I have had this board (not max2 or anything just MAX) for more than a year with a p4 2.53 and it ran fine. I gave this hardware to my dad yesterday as i upgraded, and i installed it all in his case and when i power up i get lights, fans, drives on, but no post beep or video. The bios error code screen on the motherboard says FF which is normal. What gives? I removed all the pci cards, and even the ram, still no go... Is the mobo dead?

Maybe a false contact between board and case.
Remove the board form the case and try to boot with board outside the case.
Might help.

LOL already ordered a replacement, asus p4pe, but i will still try and remove it and run it that way, thanks.
