whussup? first off, i currently am an AMD man, but its just so tempting to switch as prices are dropping! so, i figure i might as well ask whut the best motherboard for overclocking P4's is. ah hell while we're at it, why not suggest a processor too! :) i've heard good things about the 2.4c, as long as i can hit the 3ghz mark i'm happy!
thankz erybody!

I suggest the AI7 + some good BH5 memory and a 2.4c.
If you want max benchmark scores, look at a Canterwood board (more expensive, worth maybe 500 points in 3DMark01 if you care).
However the AI7 can act like a Canterwood up to 250fsb.

The P4C800 dlx is the best board you can buy right now.
And for the CPU you should wait for Prescotts(Prices are as low then the norhy). And theyre supposed to OC better the northy

anyone else have any suggestions? and if not, which out of those two (AI7 or P4C800 Deluxe) would be my better option for overclocking?

i hope to make the switch easily and pain free, so any other suggestions would be tha shizzle!
I would sudgest AI7 out of those two!

The new revision IC7-MAX3 is an awesome board was well. I'm very happy with mine.
As for CPU, the 2.8C M0 stepping chips look to be winners.
SL6Z5 stepping is I remember correctly.:)
