Will prescott work with my mobo its a "old" IC7-G (the first one)?
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but couldnt find nething bout it.

Yes you will, since the Prescott runs at 1.2 or 1.3v, and I don't know of many boards that let you set it below 1.525v.
In SiSoft its says version: 1.0/1.1
That confuse me a bit.

You need to check the revision of your motherboard. Its writen on a bar code near the northbridge chipset. I too am in the same boat. I have an aging 1.0 IC7 mainboard which by Abits site doesnt support the new up coming chips from Intel.:mad: :mad: :mad:

All IC7's that i have seen (including the very latest) their sticker says 1.0 . That means that the PCB is the same . But if you notice more carefull , you will see that the newer one have some extra capacitors near the CPU mosfets

The sticker says 1.0 :( Im going to compare it with the newer ones to c if it got extra capacitors.
