Well, _nothing_ extreme at all, just cards are so rare that it is max result in orb for Volari family...
Card is Club3D Volari V8 Duo Ultra, clocked to 366/485 (defaults 350/450) with default cooling. Street price in Ukraine is $400, we've got it for review...
Just for fun and for third "World #1" string in sig :)
Cool man!! but put it in the EE Rig

Is this a final sample or did they send you one for you to test so they could improve on it? Also have they made any new drivers, and are they going to?

Get some dual cascades on it at -100°C and try again :D
Hehe, nice score, but are those 2GPUs like burning up atm? :stick:
Nature is just, sad... :( Man, I hope they improve (or "improve" :D) the drivers a bit more ;)

my ti4200 is badly beating that in nature and soon will in drag as well. I can see why no one wants those cards

Well, this is regular retail Club3D card...
Yes, $400 in US currency :)
GPUs are very hot. We didn't try watercooling on it, 'cos then we'll have to cool somehow 16 hot GDDR-II chips:) Interesting, that card doesn't have "benchable" clocks - either artifact-less or stucks in 3D.
We didin't contact XGI directly, only local Ukrainian Club3D distributor, company called Navigator, so unfortunately we don't know any plans for improving drivers, etc. But you can't ask too much from first drivers for first product of a new company - remember ATI driver troubles and old Detonators that gave huge boost for GF3... I'm working on its review now, so probably i'll contact XGI and ask them a couple of questions;)

And people actually pay $400 for this?? Why?? Unless there is nothing else???
I hope just not for the dual GPU look. I still have my ATI RAGE MAXX dual ATI chip!!!!! Paid way to much for it then a month later the Original Geforce came out and murdered it!!! Back in windows 98 days.
This max if have only one GPU works with XP. no drivers for dual GPU's.
$400?? You surely got this for a free review I hope.

LOL when i overclock my radeon 9700 at max without volt mods it scores 17000 3dmarks in 2001se and i paid 200 euro for that card.
nice! :)
it will probably get much better resualts when they fix the drivers..

You guys are way too aggressive to the volari, it needs more time for drivers and stuff. You sound like a bunch of fanboys the way you dismiss it.

But if you read that review...it points to the hardware, not the software...:stick:

Still....early drivers have rarely been good....give it a chance before raping it.....

I wasn't, im only saying drivers can't help if the hardware is help-less...

Ok, well i wasn't really accusing you of that, more like i was accusing others. Anyway we'll see in the coming months...

Another thing I'd like to point out is that Volari is probably not optimizing as much for 3dmark as the other companies do. They're most likly having a tough time just getting compatibility with most games out there, and don't really have a ton of time to perfect drivers for 3dmark. We will probably see them do better with the next card release.
