Here's my setup

Asus P4P800 (non-deluxe) with vdroop mod
P4C 3.0 @ 4.0C with 1.65 volts
Geil Gold Dragon PC3700 2x256 @ 2.5-3-3-7 (using 5:4)
Antec Truepower 430W modded
BBA 9800NP @ 410/360
Prommy Mach 1
Turtle beach santa cruz
Winfast tv tuner

I am using bios 1012.

So i previously owned a 2.4 overclocked to 3.5 ghz on an abit ic7... with that setup, i was able to hit 20.2K on 3dmark2k1

and now with this setup, i am 500 mhz faster and i can only hit 20.8K on 3dmark2k1

I tried running the 3.0C @ 3.5 and got 18.2K on 3dmark2k1.

I was wondering if my scores were normal for my setup (which i highly doubt)

Pcmark2k2 is around the 9850 mark

any thoughts? suggestions?

what could my problem be?

first: w/ your 2.4 you where around 290+FSB, but now your @ around 260+FSB but higher clock, so thats why you dont have a big increasement. And second: 2k1 need more power of the graphic card then the CPU, if you whant some big increasement OC more your card or buy a new one;)

thanks for the reply...

didnt' realize it was so dependent on fsb... thought it was more raw speed...

what are some tests that are dependent upon pure clock speed then?

ALL CPU test depend on clock and FSB, FSB is forced to give some score coze its the transfer speed.

Its very dependant on FSB, but at the most MEMORY bandwidth!

thanks for the replies!

comforting to know that my board isn't broke! :)

hmm...

guess i'll have to keep tweaking this system to get more out of it!

my ultimate goal is to get around the 23 to 24K mark with 3dmark2k1...
