all this talk about bh-5 chips and how to get them has me wondering.
kingston hyperx2700 is rated to 2-2-2-5
what chips do they use? is it a good possiblity that they use BH-6?

right now I have two 512 sticks of BH-6 (corsair xms3200c2), so I am happy where I am, but i have heard that bh-6 is almost nearly as good as bh-5. The prices for hyperx 2700 are excellent too.

I understand that bh-5 or bh-6 modules aren't the only chips that can hold 2-2-2-5 timings at 333 speeds, but they are close to it, esp. for stock 2.5v and the stability required in a retail kinston module.

I know that chances are they don't, and I'm wasting my time, but anyone care to enlighten me?

If you already have some, why are you looking to buy more?

BH6 is 6ns and BH5 is 5ns so BH5 are better then BH6.

obviously

but they are still same chip, just rated differently
it's like saying the 2.8c is better for overclocking than the 2.4c because it's faster

of course I understand that BH-5 will overclock better than the bh-6, but the bh-6 is still very good

Take off the spreaders to see what they are is the easiest thing to do.
