Mushkin Level2

I got 2 sets of Mushking memory last week. Both are 1gb dual packs Level II PC3500. One set is black heatspreaders, and one has silver heatspreaders on them. I see all the talk about mushkin LevelII black but never about silver. Is the silver still BH-5 chips?

Yes. Black refers to the PCB color not the heatspreaders.

yeah they have different heatspreader colours, i got 2 sets too both black heatspreaders though :)

Mine were silver to...which threw me at first casue I thought maybe I ended up with the wrong sticks....but BH5 for all L2 sticks regardless of spreaders.

Let us know how far you manage to push that GIG DC Pack.

Mushkin ONLY use BH5 on those modules and when they run out (which they now have) they will not produce those modules anymore. Just check their site.

i got mine just in time, and they also have the sexah silver heatspreaders on black pcb.
