why dont you just call the store where you bought them and ask them to give you bh-5 ram when you rma. I did that when I bought the p4 chip and I wanted to get the m0 one. I just called the store and asked them to send me the m0 one, and that is what they sent.

wouldnt hurt to try. I bought the chip from zipzoomfly, so you may want to order from there next time. They also have free 2nd day delivery unlike new egg.

Not likely you will get someone to trade you those 3500 CH5s for 3500 BH5s as they would have to remove the spreaders to look at the sticks....and resellers typically wont do that as it supposedly voids the warranty.

I would email newegg customer/rma service and try saying that you ordered the wrongs ones by mistake and meant to order the 3200...check their site before hand to make sure they still have KHX3200 sticks available that are BH5 first.

the chance to have KHX3500 BH5 are not even 10%. But keep those, check in my sig, My perf of whole comp raise of 15% w/ those RAMs(there CH5)

My CH-5 Hyperx 3500 does 240 2-3-3-6 at 2.8 volts if I recall. I'm pretty happy with it considering I'm not trying to break records... just enjoy squeezing some extra performance out of my rig.

What I need is ram that can do 242 or 255 at tight timings w/o vmods

NO doubt about it, they are BH5.

Buff, how I ended up with KHX3500 that was BH5 is I sent in a RMA request saying that my sticks wouldnt even run stock speed and timings and told them what motherboard I had etc etc. You fill out a form with some info they request. You get back an email saying they approved your request and that they are sending you new sticks.

Main thing you want is to Cross-Ship your new sticks to you. There is an option on the form to choose Cross-Shipping (it involves a credit card, so ya have to have one or borrow one). That way you are guaranteed new sticks versus getting your old ones back. You will get your new sticks in 2-3 days and then you have to send back your old ones within 10 days or they charge your credit card for the price of the sticks they sent you. Best thing to do is test out all 4 sticks and keep the 2 that perform the best. I had CH5 (3500) and they sent me BH5. That could have been the luck of the draw, but worth a shot. Since they cross ship, you dont have to be without your ram in the process.

Kingston rebadges some of the memory....I dont think there is a pattern as to whether its BH5 or CH5 that they rebadge.

I have had BH5 and CH5 KHX3500 that were all marked as Winbond...so I havent seen the rebadged sticks, only heard of them.

I am still thinking that you may have BH5 with those timings. I am hesitant to say with 100% assurance that they are indeed BH5 after seeing a few people post they have identified their sticks as CH5 and they run CAS-RAS 2, but those sticks are few and far between.

The first one's were, i have some. but i doubt you'll get any BH-5 3500's,

you can get 3200 BH-5 from newegg for around $60 and from zipzoomfly still.
