AGP/PCI faster = Better OC?

I read alot of people increasing there AGP/PCI frequencies to be able to get higher overclocks or I am reading this incorrectly?

raising agp frequency to about 80mhz can be worth somewhere around 50 3dmarks, and it's usually fairly stable at 1.6v.

Depends on the motherboard. Some P4 @ or over 300mhz FSB need the raise to go farther it seems.

Upping mine to 72/36 helps at some clocks, but not at others, it's just a case of suck it and see.
