View Full Version : more than 1,95V -> instability

Hi there,
The situation is that when I choose a Vcore higher than 1,95V the system will hang up when finalizing the load to win (XP or 2000), even at stock clocks...
What could be the problem?
My PSU is plugged only to the board (ATC connector + 12V connector), all the other stuff is on other PSU...
the PSU of the board has 12V @ 12V rail when Vcore set to 1,95V.
The PSU doesn´t seem to be the problem, well it could be, it´s a oem psu, but all the rails are ok and the I´ve modded the 3,3V recently to 3,6V.
The board is a brand new NF7 2.0, doesn´t seem to be the problem. CPU: 2500+ Barton (AQZFA).
What do u guys think about it?
Thanks. Greetings

too much vcore can cause instability as well, back it off a little bit, your crashing cuz your giving it too much voltage i would wager

Why would you be running 1.95v at stock clocks...?

This could be many problems. Better start working on things to narrow it down. Run you mem through the usual battery of tests with memtest86 and see if you get errors. Could be a simple hardware failure as well.

What week is that 2500+ you are running?

Perhaps it's temperature...? Some air cooling can't handle that (especially if thermal paste is not put on right, etc).

humm
well the chip does 2480 MHz @ 1,95V on WC...
And whenever I choose Vcore higher then 1,95V, no matter external freq the system hang up.
mem is fine, mobo is fine, just when choose more then 1,95V it jut stops.
Also have HS in mosfets...
Thanks

I'd say its either your PSU or mainboard that can't handle the load

yep, psu maybe...
I dunno how the problem could on board...
Thanks guys

it's the mobo, not the cpu or psu.
