i am also building a linux rig, running mandrake. i cant wait to try games on it. just keep playing around, like anything else, and eventually you'll either get it or corrupt it and have to reformat the hdd :D

I have tried mandrake in the past, do they support windows games now through emulation or something? I remember trying WineX, by transgaming.com. but never really figured it out. me = linux newb. But if i could play Battlefield 1942 with the DC mod on mandrake, id be in there in a second.

You need to download WineX, a good website to checkout is www.linux-gamers.net
They have the guide to installing Steam 1.6 and CS thru Mandrake.
Hope this helps! :toast:
