You can check your CPU revision with the CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-120a.zip), it can be a D1 or a M0!
Actually a P4 M0 is a EE that did not passed the test of the 2MB cache L3, they are famous to reaching a higher FSB with less vcore...

2.6C cant be M0, its only the 2.4C and the 2.8C.
InVisible: are you sure of that???, its only becoze its sounds strange to me coze theyre still rated at around 600MHz under and dont really have better perf

You're right skate2snow... ;) I thought that actually was a 2.8...
And yes... I'm almost 100% of shore ;), a D1 revision have 10 (more or less) transistors at back of the core and the M0 have 30 like the EE...

umm... i belive you that its a EE failed, but more transistor=less OC

Seems to have a higher success rate for overclocking since Intel picks out the best silicon to be their high end 3.2's.
That's the same piece of silicon you're getting.

and how do i recognize the m0 models?

silicon is silicon..I doubt they "choose out" each piece.

They do.
Why do you think the 3.2's clock so well compared to all the other chips? Its obvious.
And no silicon is not silicon....haven't we learned anything from this forum yet? Buy 5 CPU's and they will all clock differently. Buy 5 video cards and they all clock differently.

Guess that chap must have been trying to trick you and others into believing that:

There is no 2.6 with M0 stepping, as yet...

2.6C M0 does not exist, i dont know we, but they dont

There could be 2.6C M0 and not appear on processorfinder, I've seen it happen with other CPUs, some 3.0C steppings(SL6WU).
But I doubt it, we would have heard by now.

But there seems to be a 3.0C, SL78X, which also seems to have the 30 caps on the back, like the 3.2 EE.
Saw it somewhere on ocforums.
http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=259907
According to intel's latest product change notification, the newer ones also have the 30 caps / pads decoupling.

I doubt it too.
I haven't seen any CPU's on the shelves before an Intel P4 Processor Specification Update announcing it - and the latest spec. update from november dosen't say anything about a 2.6 with M0 stepping:
ftp://download.intel.com/design/pentium4/specupdt/24919944.pdf
Take a look at the bottom of page 15.

Jupiler, that is interesting, SL7 is also the first part of the code for P4EE(SL7AA). Who knows, maybe there will be more M0 chips soon.

That's what I thought too.
SL78Z looks like a new stepping, with the 30 caps at the backside, just like the SL6Z5.
The guy over at overlockers forum posted that new stepping on his new 3.0C.
We migth see following steppings in the near future :
2.6C : SL78X
2.8C : SL78Y
3.0C : SL78Z
3.2C : SL792

in all honesty, if there was a 2.6c M0 stepping out, im sure we here at xtreme would know about it
