I'm trying to install windows on a lap top. The problem is the Cdrom doesn't work, it's one of those credit card plug in drives. It does work in Windows 98 once your in there, but I tryed doing 2000 and can't, now I have a clean formated HD and I can't install anything, the CD isn't being detected.
What to do??
Thanks,
OPP

Pull the HD out of the laptop and copy the install files directly on to it. you can find the 3.5 to 2.5 IDE adapter at frys or Compusa for less than 10 bucks.
Your system will autodetect the 2.5 HD like any other HD
