Im going to pick up some new memory for my rig in the sig. Anyways I am going to get it at directron.com, this is without a doubt because I can pick it up there so please no suggestions of other places. I am most likely going to get 2x256mb, unless someone strongly opposes. I was thinking about getting ocz el pc3500 or kingston hyper x pc3500. They also have pc3200 versions of them also. Directron has some corsair but from what I can see it is all high latency crap. So what is the best memory I could get from directron.com?
Thanks

this is what you want BH-5's,
Timing Reference: 2-2-2-6-1 at +2.6V.

notice the timings in the specs. $66 per stick. cant beat it.

Hmm never thought of directron for memory, just PS's and cases

I just ordered 2 more sticks of this memory from zip zoom, Newegg is OOS of it and i doubt getting any more.

BH5 is out of production and going to start getting pretty rare.

Corsair PC-3500C2PT ver. 1 in my opnion is the best on the NF7-S. If they don't have that I would go with the ocz

do not buy this, its slack timings are CH5's, you do not want these. I have kingston 3500's with BH5's Do not go by PC3200/pc3500

the 3200 kingstons are what you want.

So the khx3200 hyper x will be the best? Over the ocz el 3200 or 3500s (I know the oczs arent bh-5). Is it for sure that the hyper x 3200 will be bh-5?
Thanks tedinde and 2fast4u

I agree with tedinde that you want BH-5, but I would go with the 3500 so that you will have more headroom if you decide to upgrade to a 400 FSB 3000+ or 3200+. Might save you some money in the long run.

For those not picking up @ directron

If someone knows where these are cheaper let me know. Kingston doesnt even have it anymore. Not made.

These are also bh-5's for $56 each shipped.

you will not find 3500's with BH-5's anymore, I have 2 sticks left that do 262fsb 1:1 2-2-2-6 with a lot of volts.

you cant even get bh-5 from kingston anymore, they are sold out, cept for some pc3000 bh-5's.

Im about to stock up one at least 10 sticks for those special customer rigs @ a premium of course!!!

Wait, will those go to 433 or 450 with the same timings though?

Tedinde

Yes they will dont worry, you gotta give BH5's volts though upon testing the 3200's stock 2.6v would get me 215-220 1:1 2-2-2 on a intel IS7, 2.8v would get me around 230fsb 1:1. 235-240 @ 3-3.1v. 250 @ 3.2v

And if have that NF7 heavily modified.

Max is 262fsb 1:1 @ almost 3.6v. is my max.

For the money these kingstons are a steal!!! I've got some mushkin level 2 i paid over $100 per stick for 256's that do not do better.

BH5 loves voltage, so at 2.8 volts you should be able to hit 440-450Mhz while retaining your tight timings of 2-2-2. With 3.0 volts, you should be able to hit 480 easy with the same low timings. :) And so on...

There's other places, but not the safest, If you search pricewatch for KHX3200, you will notice just about all of it is cas 2-3-2-6-1 which are ch5 chips, and hardly anyone has the BH 2-2-2-6-1 in stock.

The OCZ guys says they are out of BH-5, and i notice Newegg is out and a lot of other place, Kingstons out so that's a sign.

Mushkins prices are going up by the day, so that's a sign it's running out.

HMM maybe i shoud've kept this to myself!!!:D :D

Just kidding.

The OCZ PC3500 Dual Channel Platinum Series 1024MB ram I got from SVC (http://www.svcompucycle.com/oczplatinum.html) last week is the limited edition chips with bh-5 but it is $$$$ and it seems their stock is getting low

Once Mushkin runs out of thier stocks, the BH 5 is gonna be very hard to find.

May have to buy one more pair before that happens.

That's gonna be a tossup but its 90% likely to be CH5.

KHX3200 is your best bet.

Just wondering, my code says, "KHX3200K2/512" for my 2 x 256 HyperX kit. Is that BH-5 chips? Does BH-5 run tighter timings better @ 2.6v or 2.8v?

The more volts the better as in 3v plus if you board can do it.

Max i can get out of my kingston 3500's is 262fsb 1:1 2-2-2-6 3.55v though.

250 1:1 can be obtained @ 3.1v
