Once again I am back, but this time with a succesfull unlock

but...

I am struggling with the overclock...

I'm not sure what multipliers/fsb to use to get the best performance out of my cpu, here are my system specs..

Prometeia Cooling
A7V333 + RAID (1007 bios)
XP2200+ (unlocked)
1GB Samsung 2700
2*120GB 8MB Cache HDDS (raid 0)
Soundblaster Audigy GamerX

I have tried plenty of multipliers, but I cant get higher than 154 FSB

I have the core set to 1.825, I've got access to all the multipliers, I can get 12.5/154 which is about 1.9ghz.

anyone got any recommendations? what multipliers/fsb/core should I use, I dont have a problem with cooling so ?

Cheers

It's been a long time but...

1007 final bios was horrible. I used 1006.002 and some of the newer bios's are prolly better.

I had no problem getting mine to 195 fsb you might try like 185X9 to start with and try to creep it up form there. You may need to spend some time at each step burning the ram before you can go higher.

Use low cpu multi's until you find the limit of your ram and then try increasing the multi and play with the fsb/multi to get the cpu speed you are looking for.

My tbred is rock solid at 10x200 on my Abit but I don't think you will get the memory that high on the Asus.

Good Luck

Which Abit board you using? may invest in one, if it going to be overclocking well.... ;)
