Are these BH5 chips? ive heard so...but they dont act like them. They like voltage right? i have them at 2.8 vdimm, and they wont do 448mhz at 8-4-4-CAs2.5 , somethings wrong here eh?
can anyone clear this up?

Yes they are BH5's and they hate §§§§ting timings..
try 2-6-3-3 instead, and pump more vdimm in

2.8 is the highest my board does, its an IS7-E....unless there was a new bios released with mroe vdimm in it ... i dont think the IS7 series goes above 2.8. i guess the covered word is tight timings? theyre at 7-3-3-cas2.5 right now at 400 fsb, should they be able to do like 5-2-2-CAS2 ? it doesnt, windows freeezes at those timings...

Have u tried using the other 2 slots?
My xms3500 v1.1 (BH-5) are capable of 227mhz 2-2-3-5 with 2.85v on my P4C800.
Right now i'm @ 233mhz 2-2-3-5 with 3.0v memtest, prime stable. Would like to give them 3.2v but my cpu is holding me down...
Love that mem! :D

I dont think the other 2 slots would help, or at least i dont see how, its the same bank overall, my IS7-E has bios 16, they came otut with a bios 17 but i doubt they added more options to it. how do i talk to this pc ice guy?

With my 1700xp my 3500c 1.1 does 220fsb with 2-2-2-5 timings with only 2.8vddr.

Corsair DDR that is Ver 1.1 is BH-5.
Ver1.2 is CH-5.
But remember..... not all BH-5 is/was
created equal. There was a 2-3 week
run there last year where the BH-5
chips were really exceptional.

suposedly, the xms3500c2pt is a 'hand picked' bunch of bh5

i wonder what does hand picked mean,
some guy went to the factory and grabed some bh-5 chips :)...

or the guy from corsair got on the phone and said 'send me the bh5 chips made from 1/23/03 to 3/24/03', smartass ;)

I don't claim that it will solve your prob but u can try it...
When i got an IK1100 (gigabyte 875 mobo) it couldn't boot with my corsair in the first pair. On the other all was running smooth. Plus i've seen ppl with P4P800's claiming that one pair oc's a little better than the other. I don't either have a definite reason on why this is happening but pc world is a strange place... :)
