View Full Version : New Rig..... What to get?

A friend of mine is wanting me to build him a rig. He is going to be doing alot of video editing and such with it. I was thinking the P4 route with an Intel motherboard..... or something along those lines, but then I got thinking about an Athlon 64.. not the FX as it would be too pricey for him.. Which CPU do you think would perform better for his tasks?

opteron w/ 1gb reg ram. good stuff, like corsair or mushkin. prolly something like a 9800non-pro would suffice for a vid card. my 2 cents

Yep thats the way to go.... Maybe look @ a Matrox Card for video editing
