After the news and posts about the new throughbreds, I thought I would see if anyone has reported a new highscore on the VR-Zone Throughbred list.... Check this one out :
http://www.vr-zone.com/guides/AMD/Tbred/page2.htm
The top contender is new (named "By Savj From Italy") , he has a new stepping (AROGA) and it registers as a MP with family 6 ???
Very wierd, but new ! :)
Have a good one

Yeah, I don't think so! I have seen some crazy stuff in my life, but to really think that you could hit 217MHz fsb with an AMD 761 chipset board (EPoX EP-8K7A) with air cooling is just funny. That's just insulting to think any one would fall for that.:slapass:
I see a lot of 8K7A's listed there, I really can't believe they are hitting 224MHz, even with dry ice.:bs:

Those are fake allright . Notice how it says "Unknow CPU type" instead of "Unknown CPU type" .
Remember, these are the japs....they've been pulling out insane overclocks since god knows when.
TurboPLL for a 8k7a? Wouldn't that be a hoot? I wouldn't put it past them.
I'll say it again...take their screenshot and send it to H. Oda. See if its legit or not. I'm betting it is.

Glad I don't have to use dry ice or LN2 to get 2400mhz.

The japanese LOVE the 8k7a. If you check out the japanese overclocking rings, 80% or so use the 8k7a for oc'ing.
