Well, I had to say, Eagle, my friend and also a member of Overclocking.cz forum, has done quite a good job with studying the purpose of bridges on CPU.

His whole article about this question is http://www.cpuheat.wz.cz/html/Tweaks.htm <- HERE...

And... enjoy your ride while U can set both FSB and mult :D

That part sucks saaya... but it looks like a pretty nice utility for VIA chipsets.

does second connection on L5 on locked Athlons work?
If so then if some could do the trick as Epox did on 8HDA+ (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=13148) on BIOS level so we can have all multis from max default down to 6x fixed@POST ;)

welcome to the sickness!!!:toast:

why would one want to run a 24x multi? wouldnt that mean your fsb would be quite low, and therefore have crappier bandwidth?

Bah, only on VIA chipsets. I suppose those are the boards that need the higher multis though.:stick:

24x multi...ick!

It was confirmed this works on VIA and SiS chipsets. I hope someone will figure it out how to enable it on nForce 2 as majority of people say it doesn't work on those.

And yes, it was confirmed this works for superlocked CPUs also! So the multiplier can be changed this way.
