Any results yet on ocing the 3000+?
I'd like to buy one pretty soon. But wanna know first, if ocing works good or not!
But why shouldn't it work like on a 3200+A64? It's the same thing, but less cache, or not?

Not gonna wait!:D
I'll buy the 2,0/512-Version and find out how it works....
I'm a little worried bout the not existing PCI/AGP-Lock! If I would run the A64 maybe at 10x220, the PCI-Speed would be 36 instead of 33. How dangerous is that for my HDDs and VGA? Don't use any PCI cards....

don't the boards have other divisors?
for example with 233, 266 MHz and so on??

No, I think you can't seperate that from the FSB.....

I just saw a pic somebody using a Multiplier 13,5 with A64! How is that possible? I thought this is not possible......
Is that possible with an FX-51?

the lack of pci lock shouldnt be too dangerous below 250fsb. at 240 your pci is only 40MHz. a good hdd can easily handle that. My friend says hes seen hdds that can take in the upper 40MHz pci

I've hosed drives at 40Mhz more then once, corrupted data at as low as 38Mhz. Depends on the drive I guess. Maxtors are said to handle it better.

Maxtors?
you sure you didnt mean Seagate Barracuda's?
never heard of Maxtor's being good for high PCI speed.

Your assuming that the PCI is on the same clock as the IDE controller..... this is a pretty big assumption when its NOT on NF2.
Please get back too us soon naughty... it will be very interesting too see how badly crippled the 512k versions are.

No, there is a lot of misprints around.
Newegg originally had it advertised as 1mb cache too but this is wrong and they have changed it.
AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB L2 Cache, 64-bit Processor - OEM (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduct.asp?description=19-103-425&depa=1)
I ran 50 mhz pci once w/o corruption on an old Maxtor 10gb hdd. that was with a pentium2:)
