Im installing my prommy & it seems that it didn't come with a rear foam gasket. What does it look like? Is it in the CPU kit?

Which prommi.... MkI or MkII... MkII doesn't use foam gasket as it has a pin heater in the rear.

Newer MkI's dropped the heater so use a piece of neoprene that just sits nicely inside the plastic back piece....

Mk1

I wonder why they didn't give me one though, I don't have any neoprene.

also, does the prommy make a weird metal clang noise if you move it from side to side? It sounds hollow. Its made that noise since I got it.

Yep, thats the compressor bouncing about.

I dont like that noise... dont bang your prommy about as much.

If your moving it you need to secure the compressor to the base using that peice of green angle iron that came with the packaging.

Cloth mousemats are usually made of a closed cell foam similar to neoprene that is handy for insulation.

thanks

Id rather not try anything with a mousepad. I emailed Xteme Tek Werkz & hopefully they'll send me a rear foam gasket.
