Is it possible somehow to power peltier(s) in the 120volts household outlets. I know it would need a special adapter/converter. This is what I'm seeking.
Any info would be appreciated.
thank you

Only if that special adaptor/convertor is in the form of the high amperage DC power supply @ 15-24v (depending on the TEC you use)
You cant use a TEC on AC current.

As Holst says, that converter takes the form of a DC supply (12V is often better than 15V, actually). You could probably build one... but it would be easier, and probably cheaper to buy one.

How would you build one that could handle the kinda amps you need to power tec. Always wondered this what's symbol for amps?

The unit for currents is A, the symbol used to represent it is I.
As to building one, I wouldn't recommend it unless you know what you are doing.
