View Full Version : insulation on baker evap

hey guys, im having a little difficulty insulating certain areas of the baker evap head. ive marke what i am talking about in red. i use 1 inch wide pipe insulation wrap for wrapping around, but that still leaves the top part corners of the evap uncovered. i just tried some spray foam, but i didnt have much luck. shud i try it again? any tip wud help. thx fellas

whether i have it like it was or not, i still have issues of covering the top corners, which are markde in red. even if i cut the rubrex tape to fit "the red areas" its only about 1/8" thick, and i know thats isnt going to do anything. possible cut several peices to fit each of the "red areas" and stack them one on top of another so that way it wud be thicker, but having one tiny layer of stuff wont help @ -30 and below

What kind of holddown do the baker blocks use? IS it a "make it your self" kinda deal? I'd just wrap MORE pipewrap around it to cover it all ;)

yep, thats what i ended up doing. yeah, AFAIK all bakers use custom made hold-downs.

Do you or anyone else for that matter, have a pic of the holddown?
