I got a P4C800-D Rev2 yesterday and when I set it to 1.6V in the BIOS is boots fine, 1.625 it won't post, at 1.65 as soon as I exit the BIOS it just shuts off, but at 1.675 it works fine again but it reads to be 1.8V+.

P4 2.6C Watercooled
256MB XMS3200 x2
Enermax EG651FMA (3.3@3.4V/ 5&12V mod)
GF4 MX200

EDIT:

I would try a different BIOS, and if the problem persists, it's definately RMA time.

Edit: And btw, It's NOT normal, it DOESN'T happen to every guy, and it IS a big deal! :D

lol, friends fan too i see ;) (assuming you are thinking bout what i am, jsut saw that ep the other day, if not, ignore :p )

Yes, i agree, not had that particular mobo, but my P4P was stable and linear(roughly) voltage wise without a drop off point in between stable voltages.

Ok thanks all, I'm going to take it back today. Maybe one day this week I won't have to go to Frys. :D

I found a 3Ghz OEM, another frys location has one left, pretty long drive away in traffic so I hope its a winner :D
