im assuming there is no difference other than they are trying to ppl to buy the 2 pack for dual chan mobos and that the ones that come in singles are same as ones in dual pack
im talking about lvl 2 if it matters...

Dual-Channel kits are just 2 sticks that were pulled of the "assembly line" together, and then tested (and therefore promised) to work in dual-channel. But for most likelihood, if your motherboard is having problems running any similar memory in dual-channel, then it's more likely a motherboard issue then memory.

yeah, i was just asking because the if i buy 2 singles it is $156, and the dual pack is $167. but now that i think of it, its only 11 dollars difference, and it would be better to get dual pack instead of having 2 different performing singles, though i doubt there would be a difference. ill just get the dual pack

Some claim SPD optimizations and special chip selections on Dual Channel kits, but it can be as simple as just being tested to work Dual channel operation without issue.
