Hi,

It seems my Prometeia Mach II is wasted on my current PC (Abit KV8, Athlon 64 3200), so Im considering selling it (the Prometeia).
I was just wondering how others are fairing. It seems the nVidia boards are far better overclockers.

The best I could get with the VIA is 250MHz FSB, however HT and other settings needed to be reduced to minimum to attain that. The end result was that 225MHz FSB with 1:1 Ram (max the ram would do) and fastest HT settings was faster than the 250MHz result. Afaik, good Aircooling could reach 225MHz FSB, meaning the prommie is a total waste on this PC.

To add insult to injury, my Athlon64 lost 4 pins (condensation when first setup), so I had to buy another. Im sending the damaged one off to who guy that claims to be able to fix CPU pins, Ill keep you updated.

Also: Anyone think multipliers will ever be unlocked for the A64 (ie not FX)?

Yes, now please go back and quote the part where I allegedly asked a question about fixing pins. You just posted a statement.
