I know its not uncommon to have problems with memory on x58 boards but still I need help :D

Got a P6T Deluxe v2 along with 3x2 OCZ 1600 DDR3. At first it wouldn't even boot with all three sticks installed. I booted with one stick and updated the BIOS. Now it boots with all the sticks but still sees only 2G of ram (2040mb to be exact) in BIOS and Windows. However, CPUZ sees it at 6gb triple channel.

What should I do?

I have a P6T SE and only 3x1gb and when I have too low clock on the memory it sees only 2gb. You maybe have too low voltage ?

This is a problem that has driven more than one person right around the bend.
Do you have after market cooling, either air or water?
if so, the problem may well be caused by the backplate for the cooler and/or stress from the cooler mount - that was my problem. The solution is to loosen the mount both to the backplate and the cooler itself.
The easy test of this is to remove the cooler and then hold it against the processor while you boot. If bios posts all your ram chips you have found the problem.
If you are running the stock cooler there is a different problem at work and I am clueless (not an unusual situation).:D

I have the P6T Deluxe V2 under BIOS 1610 and had the same problem with my G.Skill 2000Mhz 3x2GB Trident kit and my Kingston Hyper 2000Mhz 3x2GB kit. I found if my vQPI voltage was too low windows would only show 2GB or 4GB while CPUZ showed 6GB. Once I found the correct vQPI voltage windows showed all 6GB.

Try it out. What are your settings and voltages?

Also, I was not able to get my memory stable unless I set vQPI above 1.56v when memory was running at 1800Mhz or higher. I read a great article at MadShrimp about Asus X58 Boards and the B2B setting. Once I set B2B to 10 or 12 I was able to easily pass LinX 20 runs max mem and Prime95 with only 1.43 vQPI and much lower mem voltage at DDR3-2000Mhz 7-8-7-20-1T-72. Would fail instantly with the defauly B2B setting of "0".

Thank you, genec57. I solved the problem with my p6t deluxe oc palm + i7 920 + 6 gb kingston ram. The ram behaved strangely - 2 gb, sometimes 4 gb, and even blue screen. Replaced (for checking) every part - but no result. BIOS update - no good. Did anything from my 12 year experience tackling problems. But I've never thought that screwdriver and loosening the mount is the solution. Simple. The memory controller is in CPU, and much you tighten it, much it fails recognizing the memory. Thank you genec57 very much indeed.
