My system specs worth noting:
-Intel 2.4C
-Asus P4P800-Deluxe Mobo
-2 x 256mb Corsair XMS 3200LL
-WD Raptor 10Krpm
-BBA 9800np
Things worth noting:
-Hyperthreading is ON.
-Graphics Aperature Size does nothing to increase performance.
-AGP is set to 8x.
-AA/AF is NOT on.
-Catalyst 3.7 installed.
-Previous Vidcard was: Radeon 7500.
-Tried 3.2, 3.7, and 3.8 Cats.
-Used uninstall, then restart, and install method.
-Returned card for same model/make.
-Core speed: 325.
-Mem speed: 290.
-No, this is not a 9800se, it is a 9800np BBA.
My benchmarks:
-Quake3Arena (1024x768, MAX details): 200fps
-Quake3Arena (640x480, FASTEST setting): 203fps
-UT2003 (1024x768, high settings, FLYBY): 180fps
-UT2003 (1024x768, high settings, BOTMATCH): 55fps
-3DMark2003: 4666
I just got a BBA 9800np, and the performance is questionable from the above benchmarks I ran on my system. In Quake3:Arena, 1024x768 resolution, and MAX details, I get only 200fps. Something worth noting is that no matter what, I cannot increase my framerate in Q3A by lowering the settings. It's not bad, but considering most 9800np/9700pros get around 300fps at 1024x768 with MAX details, it's a little disheartening. Here's some links for proof:

Note that the test systems' specs and my specs aren't off by too much to result in such a degradation of performance. Even the vanilla 9700np coupled with the aging AthlonXP 1800 pwns in Q3A compared to my card by nearly 50fps.
The performance in UT2003 on my system is pretty retarded as well. That same vanilla 9700np + XP1800 gets 70fps @ 1024x768 in BOTMATCH, while my 9800np + P4-2400C gets 55fps. That is pretty freaking rediculous! Here's another link:

And according to Beyond3d, 9700pro is getting 200fps in FLYBY, and 73fps in BOTMATCH. Considering the 9700pro and 9800np share very similar performance traits, there shouldn't be this big of a gap in performance! That's nearly a 33% loss in framerate in certain games!
I even went back to CircuitCity to exchange my BBA 9800np for the exact same one, and I still get the same results. At first I thought it was my Radeon, but now I am led to believe this is an issue that isn't isolated to the graphics card. Any suggestions on fixing this issue? Sorry for cluttering the 'Xtreme Overclocking' forum with vidcard issues, but didn't know where else to post, as some of the other Xtreme subforums are pretty dead.
