1. Which i7 920 Stepping is the best for OC? I have access to a few micro centers so hand selecting is not an issue.

2. Which motherboard is performing the best? Has a stable bios etc. I'd like to try and keep the mobo under $250 if possible.

3. Which tripple channel ram is clocking good? i hear good things about gskill for dual channel.

1. I assume you mean batch # since Micro Center has all i7 920 D0 stepping. Take a look here:

2. For that budget you might consider the eVGA 3x SLI E758, Asus P6T line, or DFI X58-T3eH8.
3. Most 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM will do the job fine depends on how much you OC it, G.Skill has its Perfect Storm, Corsair Dominator, or OCZ is all good.

thanks for the replies. I've been looking at the gskill because i hear nothing but good things about them.

I've had a great history with asus motherboards so the p6t is certainly on my comparison sheet.

as far as cpu wb goes i'm thinking about the new swiftech XT. Either that one or the gtz which of course has great results. I'll be using a mcr320 triple rad mounted in the top of a cosmos s case as well.
