Asus Rampage II Extreme 2 Pin cable?

Hello lads,

I am trying to set up my new I7 system and I have a problem with a cable. The Asus Rampage II Extreme motherboard has a small 2 pin cable on the I/O Shield and I fail to see where I need to connect it :mad:. I spent 1 hour reading the manual and no joy.


Any help would be appreciated.

It'is just for illuminating the I/O shield, so not really neccesary but a nice touch.

On my RE it goes into a very small white socket on the very top right of the board.

Yeah, i managed to find the slot. There was no mention in the Asus manual that one needs to remove a small plastic cap :p. Cheers. The mobo is amazing .... all those pretty lights :p.

Reading my post i see i typed top right, lol. This must be top left off course. :D

Mine wasn't covered with a lid but glad you found it.

Once again, many thanks for the replies. Damn, the Asus is so much better at overclocking than my Gigabyte :). I guess I have to start reading "Overclocking, 101" :D.
