View Full Version : Which is a better configuration?

Well, I have a ghetto Intel E2180, and I cannot decide between these two configs:

multi 8x
fsb 376
ram ratio 2:1 (4-4-4-12)
runs approx. 3Ghz

or multi 9x
fsb 356
ram ratio 2:1 (4-4-4-12) could probably get lower
runs approx. 3.2GHz

Couldn't run 8x 400 because 2 of my ram is DDR2-667:mad:

So would the first one or second one would bring better performance or perhaps efficiency?

Could you not run your memory at 800mhz with (5-5-5-15)

No, because they're crappy crucial rendition DDR2-667. And would not be stable at even 5-6-6-18

Why not run your E2180 at 10 x 333..?

what chips are them, and did u try a useful voltage (2.0V or so) and not jdec, its not like value ram is worth rmaing so the warranty is useless

as micron ownes crucial they normally have good chips in everything

I do not know what the chips are, I'll check them out.

So is pure clock speed better than larger FSB slightly lower clock speed?

it depends what u do, but normally its all about clockspeed unless u need more IO (like for multi gpu or if u do heavy ram/HDD stuff)

Go for the higher clock speed dude, the FSB difference is not likely to matter.
