Plain and simple:
both same price for me.

I always liked ASUS bios, we understand each other really well.

Never used EVGA, but since X58 arrived, Evga is showing awesome results/quality.

Considering some i7 290 @ 4ghz, standart memos, single vga

Wich would have best results, OC'ing, bundle, blingy thingys, less headache?

For 4ghz action you can choose any board you like... for the Gene II, I really like the board, just needs a bit of help with cooling the IOH... for the rest it's rock stable and in use here 24/7...

quality wise the ASUS is a much more sound piece of equipment. I wouldn't put the Micro SLi in the same boat as the Classified...not even in the same lake.

You can try and go with LGA1156 and Maximus III Gene which is gorgeous board. You also don't have to deal with those crappy heatsink northbridge.
