The GSkill Trident F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD kit with Elpida BBSE IC's is excellent bang for buck.

Top performance: Elpida MNH-E Hyper 2000 7-7-7
Best bang for the buck: Elpida BBSE 2000 9-9-9
Best budget: Micron D9GTR/GTS/JNM/JNL/Samsung HCF9/HCF0 1600 7-7-7

I'd go for the Trident kit as Cryptik said. You can get them at ~$160.

Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 6GB CL7, TR3X6G1600C7 , has been doing a good job on my setup too. It is listed for $179.99 on newegg.com now.

I have both the G.Skill Trident and Kingston HyperX 2000 CL8 kit. The G.Skill Trident kit runs 2000Mhz 7-9-7-24-1T on my P6T Deluxe V2 with 920 D0. Great kit for the price!

I picked up this set for my Classified & 920 D0 build. My WC gear should be here today, and I'll be up and running some time next week!

the first question is how fast you intend to overclock the machine.

a 920 has a 21x multi... @ 200bclk that translates to about 4.2ghz.. which u'll probably need roughly 1.3-1.4vcore to hold it stable on linX.

If thats all your aiming for, all you really need is DDR3 1600mhz ram.
If your a bencher, you want the tightest timings possible. The lower the numbers the better.. like 7-7-7 timing rams.

If your a gamer, you wont notice jack between uber expensive benching ram vs. value ram.
So i would honestly recomend DDR3-1600mhz with timings in the 8-8-8-20 values. Seeing how they meet the best price / performance ratio.

There was a great article written on AT:
http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=3589

It should help you answer a lot of questions.

But i have a classified, and im running 12GB of Corsair Dominators 1600mhz 8-8-8 timings.
And the fan that came with my kit is keeping everything nice and cool:

I am a gamer who wants to max out my hardware .... 4.2 seems pretty good to me. I think I will pick up the G.skill's mentioned in this thread ... thanks for the help.

Do you know if the Trident kit will work with the TRUE? I'm interested in getting my OC up to 4 ghz but I don't want to use a 6x divider. I can hit 4ghz with my co/c1 920 but I have to use the 6 divider and I dont want to. Does anyone have experience with this GSKill kit and the TRUE?

Darkboss - It fit's no problems on a Rampage II Extreme with the TRUE in the N/S orientation with ram in A1/B1/C1 slots. The Trident kit is the same height and ~1.5mm thicker than my Corsair Dominator GT's. If you were to also use the A2 slot which is closest to the cooler, it would still just fit if you are using a 120 x 25mm fan on the ram side.

I'm not sure if there will be the same amount of room on your UD4P though, and I have not tried it with the TRUE in the E/W orientation.

Thanks for the heads up. I might order it and see what it can do. If not, I might have a kit for sale! Or I might just get new fans for my TRUE. I have the S-Flex fans 38mm.
