Howcold does a 80w pelt water cooled get the core of a 9800 xt?

Well, why don't you try it? Probably nobody will tell you how much can be "just your" piece of silicon oced :D

He wants to know how cold it gets. Not how much it overclocks.

I have seen a few people say that the 80w is not quite enough for the 9800xt. Might want to look aroung abit though.

I'd have to agree, unless it's running full voltage, at which point it's pretty inefficiant though.

I'd look into a 172watter.

I am also thinking of going WC with a TEC for the vid card. I have to decide between 80w or 172w.

Would a 172w TEC heat up the water too much to be counter-productive? Not doing chilled water, just normal. Assuming one had a very good radiator and pump, no other blocks in the series, how high can you go on the TEC before it is "too hot"?

Could just use dual rads...

172watts for highrange cards i reckon.
