Hi Guys,

Mobo: eVGA P55-FTW

I'm not able to do a clean Win7-64 install. When I run the installer it will ask to load SATA AHCI drivers. I have downloaded all the new drivers from this site and copied them into a CD but still nothing no luck.

I get this error:

The Intel PCH SATA AHCI controller iaAHCI.inf device driver could not be installed. Contact your vendor.

Any clues guys?

install in "IDE" mode and add the AHCI driver later?

Tried that and no dice :(

Also tried Win7 32 to see if it was a 64bit driver issue and nope same problem.

this should have worked, are you sure you enabled it in bios and saved it?

also make sure you have 'extended alocation table' enabled for 64 bit OS's

Thanks Dos. No luck... it has to be Win 7. I tried Vista 64 and installed without a hitch so at least I know it's not the mobo. Phew!

:D
