Trying to decide on a peltier block for a new setup. After looking around a bit, it seems the only blocks made for TEC's on an AMD platform are the MCW462-UHT and the Dangerden Maze4-1. Also, the Slit Edge looks like it wouldn't be terribly hard to adapt to peltiers, if it is big enough- the holes used to bolt the block together could be bored out and used to clamp on a cold plate, as long as they could still be used to hold the block together. I'm at a loss to decide between these, though. Since the Maze4-1 and the Slit Edge have the same basic design, that decision's easy enough (assuming there isn't too much of a performance difference), since the Maze block is already made for TEC's. But I can't make out which would be best between the Maze and the MCW462. The 462 looks like it would excel with high flow, because on its almost-jet-impingement bp design. Since it uses a straight 1/2" input and no flow restrictor, though, the advantages of its divots (best term I can think of... ) wouldn't be as pronounced as with current blocks. As for the DD block, it's hard to just go with a straight maze-style block, seeing as how newer jet-impingement style blocks blow them out of the water. Which of these (or another, if you have a suggestion) would be the best choice?

Well, for pelts you want big surface area on your block, so white water blocks don't work well.

For pelts, the MCW462-UHT is bar none the best pelt block for AMD's.

Well, that's the only reason I didn't consider the jet blocks... small surface area. BTW, thanks for the fast reply.

Edit: Is there anywhere in the US to get a MCW462-UHT? The only place I could find was in Canada, and even then I was stuck buying the -UH variant with the coldplate and gasket extra.

I think www.bestbyte.net might carry them, not sure.
