Hi all!

I just wanted to know if it is at all possible to brand a copy of windows using an OEM licence? I want to do it in the same way that other brands (such as dell) brand their copys of windows.

The other thing I would like to know is if once it is done is there a way of me creating a bootable pen drive with the branded windows on it to be installed on multiple systems? I would like to change the backgrounds from the ones that windows comes pre installed aswell. Then when it comes to activating it I will use an individual key for each system.

Here is an example of what I want to do (but obviously with a logo other than the dell one!)

Cheers! Tommy

There's loads of guides to changing the OEM logo and registration information on google.

It's not branding windows, because windows is windows...

Look into a program called Vista Visual Master. That should allow you to customise all that through a GUI.

The OEM version of XP used to come bundled with a software disk to allow one to do exactly what you're after. You can probably google for the software or go to MS's site to get the software. I don't recall what the disk was called, but if you've ordered the OEM version of W-7, it would probably be included.

TuneUp Utilities has an option for that as well. Rather straight forward though, only need several clicks.
