ok, just installed win7, and when is set it to 1920x1080, it will do it, but there is about an inch on the left side of my screen, about 3/4 of an inch on the right side that arent being used, and then it seems to be about 1/8th of an inch from the top, and 1/8th of an inch too low on the bottom.

this is on my 40' 1080p dynex tv, with a ati 4870 1gb gfx card. it was working fine on xp64 and vista 64.

1280x720 will take up the full screen, but sheesh everything is so huuge

any help would be greatly appreciated

I have this same problem but cant figure it out. I have used overscan that is built into the TV but no joy.. What is edid? My 1080p only shows up to about an inch all the way around the picture. Whats going on here?
