I have a Palit 9800GT Super+ 1GB with a 17inch monitor at 1280X960 and a 23 inch TV at 1360X768. would it be better to stay with what I have or get another 9800GT Super+ 1GB or get another video card in crossfire/sli or neither.
My budget is 170$$

I would wait. The HD5000 series is out. Then you can get that, or a cheap GT200 if nvidia decides to have sales for the rest of the year.

if u can spend $170 then a 4890 is your best bet, or wait for a 58xx in a week or 2 and see what the price is. and wiating 2 weeks could do nothing but lower the current prices

what you have should be enough at that resolution

at 1280x960 your 9800GT will crunch games, good thing about your CRT is when its too heavy, u can always go back to 1024~1152 ..
