Magic bios that'll turn a bad chip into a good one!

C'mon guys, even I knew that!

It means that you can finally use all 4 Cores on ASUS Boards with Unleashing Mode.
That didn't work on these boards before, even with 4 working cores ;)

My Phenom II X2 550 worked as X3 with Core 0,1,2 or 0,1,3 but never as X4. Reboot on WinSAT and Intel Burn Test and Prime Blend with all 4 cores. Now everything runs fine even with 4 core operating

No! "Magic Bios" that fails only with bad chip and not all chips anymore.
Everyone who had problems unlocking his X2 or X3 to X4 with one of these boards should try it again now.

Nothing special on this BIOS, no more overclock and no more stability for M4A79T Deluxe.

Can't go higher than 205 bus speed stable

Maybe not for you, but for people like me its just the best bios since the first that allowed to unlock my CPU
Do you have any idea how frustrating it was to have a Phenom II X2 with 4 working cores that just didn't want to get stable as X4 because of the mb/bios?

Yep i know because before to get this bios, i was using the 1302 and i can't unlock the other two cores. Then i pass to 1802 and OVERCLOCK and UNLOCKING work's great.

This Bios don't let me pass 210fsb stable with 2, 3 and 4 cores. :shakes:

PD: Do you have M4A79T deluxe to?

No I have the M4A79 Deluxe, the DDR2/AM2+ Version

Not stable pass 210? hm... I had the same problem, but thought it was cause my cpu doesn't overclock that well. I should check this with a lower Multi to see if the M4A79 hast the same problem

EDIT: Well... it seems that there really is a problem with FSB. Tried 215 with 10x multi = worked and stable. Tried 220 with 14,5x = stable too,
but in both cases I can't reboot nor reset my system. It fails to start until I do a CMOS reset

All with 1802 Bios, and forget it to do the same with the " new Bios ".

Flashed 1003 yesterday on my CHIII
Work fine and unlock stable the 4th core of my x3 720 (that after few hours of testing died :(...don't know why yet)
Same thing on x2 545 that now works @x2 B45 :yepp:

Yes i will try, but this processor really sucks with 4 cores, and need to much voltage for stock and overclock. With two cores i can reach 3.8gghz with 1.375v and or 1.4v, depends of vdroop.
