Stopped by Airgas today to confirm my ethylene order and to get price quotes on various gases. Have a laugh with me guys :D
Ethylene:
3lbs $84
Ethane:
3lbs $240
11lbs $255
32lbs $300
Methane
50cuft $104
100cuft $76
Debating on ordering 100cuft of methane and 32lbs of ethane. Not sure what I'd do with 32lbs of ethane but the number cruncher in me is all over that ~$10/lb versus $25/lb or $80/lb costs. Guess I could fire up the BBQ with the excess methane :D
The next two months are going to be fun :)
Forgot to price R14, couldn't remember the molecular name(Tetrafluoromethane) so he couldn't look it up.

The methane is dirt cheap. The ethane is stupid expensive. Problem is they locally fill the larger cylinders but the small ones get trucked in from some depot in Florida I believe. I suspect I can get 15lbs of R14 for a few bucks more than 3 lbs of it.

Chris how large is that ehthelyn tank you rented and what would they charge for the purchase of the tank + ethelyn.

No clue, guess I should look into that as it might prove to be cheaper. However I think last time I bought R1150 they said they don't sell their specialty gas cylinders? I'll ask when the R1150 arrives and I order the methane.
