Hey guys,
been building my i7 rig today, I have two GTX260s that I am going to use in SLI, I have only one inserted at the mo just to see how the system runs. So far no good, the system turns on but the graphics card does not. I have tried using different PCI-E 6 pin connectors, but to no avail. I have tried moving the card to another slot, still no avail.

I then put in my olddd Ati X800GTO2 and it booted streight away, so I thought hmmm maybe my card is up the creek? So I took my second GTX260 out of the box, put it in, and guess what? No go.

I am unsure of what BIOS this motherboard is running on, so it leads me to think that maybe it is a BIOS issue rather than a hardware failure?

Any feedback is most welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Alec

Could be insufficient power ?

Woops forgot to mention the PSU, Corsair HX1000W PSU. So nope, should be fine.

Very unlikely both cards are bad  Stick old vidcard back in and see if there's a BIOS update that addresses the issue. Best I can offer, never used that mobo.

Well I just got it to boot with the GTX260 in the first PCI-E x16 slot and no monitor plugged in, seems to be a seating issue (which is good and bad hehe), seems as though my case has been bent, as I have to bend the graphics card over to such an angle to get it to line up with the holes so I can screw it down, the other end tilts up and thus, it does not connect properly.

Guess my resolution to this problem is: Take a hammer to it. :D

Going to plug my keyboard and mouse etc into it now and see how it goes from there, will keep you posted.

Cheers for the quick replies guys.
