OK so I'm assembling my i7 system..

I just want some info on what things to enable and disable in the BIOS options about the CPU. On the wolfdales there was option that turns off some multipliers to reduce power etc. What about the i7? What do I need to disable to start OCing.

ALSO, what is all this Hyperthreading, Turbo mode everyone posts with their Overclocks? ex: i7 @ 4.5Ghz HT on/turbo off... etc.
Do these things make the cpu faster?

THanksss

there are plenty of threads you should read first but

Turbo = 21 times multipler where bios top is 20 under load the CPU can overboost or turbo to 21X

Hyperthreading -- do a search and it can make the process faster if the program is coded for it

do more research there are lots of threads on OCing i7

Yea i did research :)

While reading n stuff, I saw some guys on a Asus mobos that can set the multiplier to 21x ??!! that was done by updating bios. Is this possible on other boards?

Yeah, most boards if not all.

I thought that was possible only if some cpu's were unlocked and allowed you to do it. I know my i7 920 won't let me use a 21x multiplier. Is that still true for the D0 i7 chips? I have a C0.
