GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775...4X winner:up:
And what makes it a 4x winner? Generally the midrange priced stuff get the awards because MOST people can afford them. The really high end boards tend to be out of reach to the general population and therefor dont get the awards due to selling so far below the mainstream boards. Not saying its not a good board; just saying that the 4x may be due do the fact that the giga board costs barely over $100

DDR3: Rampage Extreme or EP45-UD3R
DDR2: EP45-UD3P hands down, and I've used all of the "high end" DDR2 boards

I tough economic times..."bang for da buck" comes to mind. Also, at what point ($$$ wise) is diminishing returns? Anyway, there are alot of good 775 Mobo's...Performance wise, not a huge difference for the $$$.

Seriously. Thats why I bought my 965P board. even a couple years ago it was only about $100 or so. It does FSB475 without a hiccup at all. Wont due 500 but hey  I have resisted the i7 upgrade simply for the reason that in gaming the i7 hasent yet showed me any huge gains. And certainly not for the cost.

no, but if u go with x38 or 48 u basically need liquid since ram wont clock for :banana::banana::banana: without 1.5-1.65V on the NB and it has to stay sub 55c
and if u get a blackops u need to not use the stock liquid cooling it has some BS solder on the bottom and the top is lightly anodized aluminum, but an mcw30 fits perfect in its spot and its cheap

the best performance / money is p5q pro (asus p45 board). It boots my q9650 at 9*500 and runs 470*9 stable :)

I have one, I love that board. :p:
Its cheap, it overclocks like a bat outta hell, has a ton of features. And even if you burn it up, you can get another one, and still be better off than if you bought a rampage....
Oh, and the board gets me 3.4GHz stable out of my Q6600, with Gskill HZs, and a Zalman 9700. Not too bad. :)
I havent tested how my e6300 (65nm) and my PD820 (90nm) clock in it, I would love to see 3.5GHz out of the little dual, and 4GHz out of the dual-prescott. :)

the new ones coming out are pretty good, sorry ot in my own thread
