windows 7 problem - help please

Hi everyone, I just built a new system and I am trying to install windows 7 RC. I successfully install, then boot to windows. I am then prompted to do an update, which I do and then am required to restart. When the machine restarts it shows the little windows animation and then won't proceed to the login. Does anyone know why this happens and can help me?

My system specs are as follows:
WD Caviar Black 1 TB
Gigabyte EX58 UD5
i7 920
3x2 GB OCZ Platinum RAM
enermax revolution 1050
XFX 490
